CENTURION: Having registered a super hard-fought win against top team Delhi Daredevils, Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne recently spoke highly about his bowlers and the most dynamic duo of Graeme Smith and Yusuf Pathan who powered the promisiing defending champions to victory.
Excerpts from Warne’s press conference
On Yusuf Pathan: The Yusuf-Smith partnership great won us the game. There have been times so though when Yusuf got out playing some awful shot but then that’s how he plays. Yusuf’s striking ability is awsome and good as anybody in the game. He hit six sixes and scored 50 runs off just 20 odd balls. So, well played Yusuf! He holds the bat high like Adam Gilchrist. We are so much very lucky to have him on our side. He has got a strong physique and that strongly helps him hit those huge shots.

PORT ELIZABETH: Delhi Daredevils joined Deccan Chargers at the top of the DLF Indian Premier League with six points after they scored their third successive victory, a six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore with four deliveries to space in a low-scoring but fiercely competitive at the St George’s Park here on Sunday.
In the end, Delhi Daredevils was relieved that it has the seasoned and determined Tillekeratne Dilshan to man the chase of 150 runs with an unbeaten 67 (47 balls, five fours, two sixes) and the experience of Mithun Manhas who bustled his way to a quick 23 not out after RCB paceman Pankaj Singh sent Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir packing inside six overs.

New Delhi: Batsman had start tough in the IPL season 2 and trouble has widely come from slightest expected quarters. Spin has also been the undeniable king in South Africa and predictable with the best in the business g operating, a few ground rules of Twenty20 cricket are just about to be well rewritten.
Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh, Daniel Vettori and Muttiah Mualitharan these bowlers are five men who had already put their squash on IPL 2009. The pre-tournament talk that revolved around the seamers, but real then ignore these men, the best torchbearers of modern-day spin bowling going at your own peril.

Cape Town: Sachin’s innings that against Chennai Super Kings in just opening game of the DLF IPL Season 2 was entirely fantastic. Considering that the Newlands pitch and also about the weather, I personal think that his innings was more imperative. It obviously deserve the man of the match award cause. Given into the way the pitch has behaved for the next first six overs, Sachin had to just carry his bat all the way through the innings particularly after Sanath Jayasuriya was when dismissed.
frequently in a Twenty20 game the pitch and also the conditions don’t matter so much but Saturday was so different. There was malleable bounce and the ball was also stopping and coming. The CSK bowlers be supposed to have got wickets in just those conditions but they did not get so enough. MS Dhoni had opened the bowling with Thilan Tushara and Manpreet Singh Gony hoping just that the helpful conditions would thus make help even his lesser bowlers. In theory, he was right but the reality is that everything went against him. His batsmen batted when the conditions were better and yet failed to get to the target.
It was so special match for player both MS Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar. It was that moment Dhoni won the Twenty20 World Cup and next it was here in the South Africa that Sachin Tendulkar scored more runs than anybody else to take India to road to the World Cup final in 2003.
