The Twenty20 cricket extravaganza comes to Canada in October month  with a bang.

Fresh from the sponsorship by Scotiabank, Cricket Canada Tuesday has unveiled the nation’s first premier cricket tournament, that to be known as the Scotiabank National T20 Cricket Championship.and  It will to be held at King City right near Toronto May 17 and 18.

Eight teams from just the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia will vie for the Scotiabank National Cricket Trophy.

Cricket Canada, which is a  regulating body of cricket in Canada, even said the eight teams will play 24 games over the two-day, entertainment  and rightly filled extravaganza, including bhangra and band performances.

The championship will feature that  Canadian national players such as Umar Bhatti, Henry Osinde, Geoff Barnett, Sunil Dhaniram, and Sanjay Thuraisingam.

Cricket Canada CEO Atul Ahuja, who has vowed to make cricket the nation’s top sport, told IANS: “In the light of what is happening in the IPL in India at the moment, what we are undertaking in Canada is a major step to restore this sport to its former glory which it enjoyed till ice hockey replaced it.”

Ahuja, who attended the IPL opening in India recently, said the owners of league teams have promised to send their teams to Canada.

“All of them - Indian cricket board chief Sharad Pawar, Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay Mallaya, Rajiv Shukla and others promised to send Twenty20 teams to Canada in the summer to help us groom players. We have a huge talent from the South Asian and Caribbean communities in Canada,” he said.

Back in India and ready for the second edition of the Indian Premier League, former Australia [Images] opener Matthew Haydenattributed  here India’s as growing stature in Tests and ODIs to the IPL and also  the country’s Twenty20 [Images] World Cup triumph.

“India was focused  mainly towards Tests and ODIs but the  great win in the T20 World Cup has changed all that and the IPL has brought out some rapid excellent players,” said Hayden, who addressed the media after his training session with the Chennai Super Kings [Images] at the Chepauk, in Chennai on Friday.

“Bowlers will have a chance there (in South Africa) but small grounds and high altitude will ensure high scores there too,” he said, adding that the IPL will “take the game to a wider audience”.

Having been there and done that, Hayden’s job is to guide the juniors in the Chennai Super Kings team which finished runners-up in the inaugural year.

As everybody busy in their lives  we want instant results that  without waiting  for so long five days that actually might produce as result a draw as well and that  even there  if T20 has evolved, it is so factually far by slow in to comparison with  the other games like football and tennis

So as per  we find it already have T20 match by  reduced to 1.5 hrs  with an innings. I am seriously confused  for understand it that  how much faster all you’d like the game  really to be. By the way   if you compare cricket to football,  seriously I would  prefer  it on any day pick cricket because:

1)    Firstly  I am not a  such great football fan.

2) Football is  such a boring game to me because there is  In fact not so much  excitement in the game like everyball in cricket. It’s only you have to wait  for one goal you get the jubilation and also  then wait for an age to see the other goal scored. Most of  the times you only get seeing the goal into a replay. Even a noball in  the cricket can  also decide a winner and a loser.
